If you can

It's a strange thing to know that you are talking to the Messiah or a prophet or whatever and you say "If you can".
Don't many of us approach God more like beggars who are hoping and "Trusting" than people of faith who say "This is what He said so I am going to trust that He sees and His miracle is on it's way".
How would you as a parent want your child to "take you at your word"? That is a real question. Would you want them hoping that you are going to keep your word or are you going to want them to say "I trust you" and even repeat back to you what you said in the trusting.
If I was told directly by God that I could do something, have something etc then I either can or He lied.
So now are you going to hope that He has pity on you; which rarely rarely seems to be found in scripture or are you going to have expectation born from reading the word and having a faith that is built vs pumped up.
Getting an emotional pump just isn't the same as knowing that doesn't require a pump but a building.
