Read it like it's written and you will get why it's written like it's written

I am a salesman. All that I do for a living is read people, discover their intentions and find out how I can help. That is really it. The rest boils down to being honest and displaying caring for everyone in the project.

One of the things that is an easy tip off that something is wrong is when someone says one thing but their face and tone say something else entirely. There is a disconnect.

"Yeah, that will do fine." is said with a flat tone of disappointment tells me that their words are not reflecting their heart so I have to pursue.

When people read the scripture they do a very similar thing and in the end do not pursue.

When you read "My god, my god why have you forsaken me?" how was it said when it was said? What is the texture of the moment? The sounds, smells, sounds, the air around the moment?

When I hear people read it like it's written on a post it note it makes me crazy. It has context and it was said with emotion. Read it out loud with emotion; just like it was written.

Read all scripture like this. It is how it was intended or it would not have been written with all of the detail that it is. The text would just say "He cried out to God in confusion about his situation."

The text is there for a reason. It was written like it was for a reason. So read it like a seeker who is trying to get to the bottom of things because seekers find.
